About CELESTIAL
Celestial began her professional art career as a makeup artist in Los Angeles, California. After moving to Arizona in 2005, she decided to mix things up a bit. She quickly found her way into the fashion world as the Styling Director for Phoenix Fashion Week. Celestial progressed in the fashion and beauty industry as the Beauty Editor, and later Editor-in-Chief of a national teen publication.
It was there that she was introduced to the Milan Art Institute after covering a story about them. She was very impressed with the program and decided to make a life-changing decision to fulfill a childhood dream of becoming a professional fine artist. Celestial received an old masters training where she learned the rules of drawing and painting.
In 2020, Celestial and her family moved to the White Mountains of Arizona where she could be closer to nature and vivid inspiration.
She can usually be found flinging charcoal and paint all over her studio. You can feel that same energy in her art. She loves to use a variety of mediums like charcoal, spray paint, ink, and oil paints. You can often still see early charcoal construction lines through the layers; there’s a beautiful sense of transparency. It gives the viewer a feeling that there’s more than at first sight.
